Originally from Honduras, Central America. Adela Ordoñez works in the intersection between Visual and Interaction design, Illustration and Innovation Management. She holds a bachelor´s degree in Visual Communications with focus in Advertising Design as well as Masters in Strategic Design. Currently working as Service Innovation Consultant at Service Innovation Labs, Germany where she provides consulting input, design thinking methodologies and service design solutions for the Mobility and Financial technology industries in Berlin.

 

Which kind of contribution has provided to your career the MDS experience? 
The MDS experience allowed me to complement my background in Visual Design and illustration with management and innovation knowledge. The program allowed me to transition from Visual Designer, into a Strategic Design Consultant. Now I work on the intersection between business, design and technology and have the opportunity to play a key role in the strategic decision making of digital services and products from ideation to implementation.

Would you suggest this experience to other professionals? 
I would highly recommend this experience to designers looking to take their career to the next level. Not only do you get exposure to a great array of critical thinking skills and tools that are in really high demand in the current global market, but you also get to get to put them in practice and test them out, quickly prototype, iterate and co-create on real projects with real clients.
