Alessandro Sala is contract professor in Project Management at Politecnico di Milano. He obtained his Ph.D. in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering on Innovation Policy. He has a broad experience in management of innovation projects, adoption of digital technologies in production processes, technological due diligence. He has worked as policy advisor and Project Manager for public governments with more than ten years experience on projects about Regional Innovation System, foresight, clusters, start-up. He is currently focusing on the open innovation approach and its managerial and policy implications for firms and public bodies. Since 2008 he has been member of the extended faculty of the MIP for which he has held many lectures on planning and control of projects with a strong innovative and technological base. He is the author of articles published in scientific journals and co-author of the book “The attractiveness of regional policies for research and innovation”.
